A good example of a well made work knife Siraui c. early 20th C. from Sumatra. The central fuller is deep. Siraui with such a deep fuller is quite rare.
This knife is originally from the collection of Willem van der Post. It’s like origin is the Padang highlands or the Minang-influenced border regions to the north, possibly Payakumbuh.
The scabbard is carved from a single piece of wood. The tip of the scabbard seems to be missing.
