Ifugao Bulul Brass Dagger

Code: PP2

This is a small knife made by the Ifugao tribe of Northern Luzon in the Philippines.  The knife is made of solid brass and features the bulul, a symbol of fertility, luck and health.

The open-faced scabbard, or “Hikot”, is typical of this tribe.  It is made of Narra wood, with a small bridge of Narra wood in front wrapped in rattan to hold the scabbard together.
