See Kukri / Khukuri type for detailed discussion
A typical feature of the Kukri (khukuri) is the "Cho" (also called "Kaudi"). Popular myth claims this feature is a blood dripper. The shape of the cho certainly has a very strong relationship to the spiritual traditions of Nepal. Some of the more popular meanings are that the cho symbolises Lord Shiva's trident, crescent moon, cows hoofs, female & male energies, phallic symbol and more.
