WWII Phillipne talibon knife, overall length is 12", with a classic single-bevel deep bellied blade, length is 9", in decorative sheath with carved floral design and the word VICTORY carved in it, in good shape.
After WWII ended, many edged weapons were given or sold to American troops as souveniers of the war. Many had new hilts and scabbards added to make them more suitable for the mantle over the fireplace. This is an example of such a knife.
