A high prestige khanjar from the Shaquiyyah region of Oman. Shaquiyyah is located on the eastern coast of Oman.
The lower scabbard is covered in a silver and gold weave with floral motif. A silver chape. There are two silver rings and bells attached with thin silver bead chains. The upper scabbard is chased and embossed silver.
The hilt is well-handled and of type saifani horn with silver pins and two silver florets in traditional motif.
The blade is unsharpend, solid and well-forged with a pronounced medial rib.
The belt is covered in a thin layer of silver sheet, attached to the backing with silver thread.
