A dagger from the Tuareg tribe of Northern Africa. The blade is diamond shaped, hand forged and well-sharpened on a double edge. The ricasso is covered with decorated brass, with a brass anchor guard and triangular copper panels, front and back.
The grip is a dark octagon wood with alternating aluminum and black mastic rings. The wood sheath is covered with tooled maroon leather and a brass base that has geometric patterns and the green coloration symbolizing tribal leadership. A brass band below the throat retains a double looped aluminum band to attach to a belt.
