This is an interesting old shamshir from India with a curved 31” blade, fully engraved with flowers and Persian people, struck with the makers cartouche on one side 6” from the hilt, and some sort of Islamic signature hidden on the other side. The blade was lightly cleaned over the years, There are horizontal striations throughout the entire blade’s surface, also on the spine. Steel pistol-shaped hilt with elaborate floral engravings, has slightest play on the blade. The sword is overall 35 ¾” in length and in good condition.
