Kirpan Dagger

This is a decorative kirpan dagger from India sold in bazars to World War II soldiers, and more recently, to the faithful outside Sikh temples.  On one side of the blade is etched the word “Victory”.  The overall length of the knife is 12 1/2 inches with it having an 8 3/8 inch blade. The sheath is all leather construction with a brass or bronze belt clip.  The grip is inlaid with pearl, wood, and clay for a very attractive effect.
