Provisionally identified as a 19th c. Ottoman Afyon Dagger, a variant of the janbiya (jambiya). The hilt is composed of two horn pieces bolted through the tang. The front face of the hilt is decorated with a brass piece that extends out of the surface of hilt. The engraved script on the blade does not appear to be Arabic. Floral motif design. Length 22cm.
