This cut-down shamshir has a brass hilt which has been silvered, most of which has now worn off to leave a patinated brass. Heavy straight quillons, with embryonic langets. Curved slab blade, shortened and repointed, probably as a result of breakage, to a bare 15 1/2" giving it a hilt heavy feel.
