This is pemutik ("pisau pemutik") from Bali. It s a small personal knife carried by Balinese, usually tucked into the folds of the sarung. The pemutik is used for everyday tasks as well as being a personal weapon and used in ritual. This one is of superior quality with laminated blade, a finely carved hilt in prayer figure motif, and a silver ferrule. The scabbard has a heavy silver locket elegantly engraved with a karang bintulu motif.
