A parang provisionally identified as a parang amanremu originating with the Aceh Gaya people in Sumatra. This is a relatively contemporary (1940's to 1960's) utility knife that looks like it has had some use. The hilt appears to be a replacement and the scabbard is not made for this blade. TThis slightly bent bulbous hilt is characteristic.
