The rawit is a small utility knife of the Batak tribes, Sumatra. It serves various purposes such as splitting rattan.  The blade is straight in the back and has a slightly recurved blade.  Rawit means "to cost, to slice, to pare, to trim." This one is razor sharp and far heavier than you would guess from its dimimutive size.
