Aceh Hulu (Hilt) types

The Aceh tribes reside in northern Sumatra, Indonesia.

Hulu Meu Apet (Hulu Mapit, Sukul Mekepit) means “guarded hilt”. It is also calld Hulu Daun Tebu meaning “Sugar Cane Leaf” since the tip of the hilt is said to resemble sprouting sugar cane. See “The Achenese Peudeueng”.
