This is a small knife made by the Ifugao tribe of Northern Luzon in the Philippines. The knife is made of solid brass and features the bulul, a symbol of fertility, luck and health.
The open-faced scabbard, or “Hikot”, is typical of this tribe. It is made of Narra wood, with a small bridge of Narra wood in front wrapped in rattan to hold the scabbard together.
