A recong from Sumatra of type meukure featuring a blade with copper onlay of stylized dragon and Isamic writing. The blade is in reasonably good condition. The hilt was at one time broken and has a poorly executed repair. A decorative bolster is brass. The scabbard is missing the chape. At the throat of the scabbard is a bone top secured to the wooden portions by a decorative brass loop.
